The Aurora Staples Inn Bed and Breakfast is located just three blocks walking distance from downtown Main Street in historic Stillwater, Minnesota. This elegantly decorated landmark Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1892 by lumberbaron Issac Staples for his daughter Aurora and her husband, Adolphus Hospes. Hospes was a Civil War Veteran and survivor of the famous First Minnesota Charge at Gettysburg. Original furnishings purchased by Staples are still used today in this remarkable home and extreme care was taken to restore the Aurora Staples Inn to her original grandeur.
Enjoy The Inn
Our common areas include a spacious Entrance Hall with fireplace, an intricately carved dining room, a stately Victorian parlor and a book-filled library with a wood-burning fireplace to relax by.
